All humans have situations around them that they must personally deal with. No matter how much better another person’s life might look from the outside there are usually areas of discontent, concern, fears and pressures of one sort or another. The advantage of getting older in human years is that it gives you the ability to reflect back on how situations were resolved in previous times. Almost everyone has a memory of how some problem almost magically disappeared and these memories are important to hold on to.
What is even more important is to examine how these events occur. Spiritual truth and its application to human life is not complicated but except for those who genuinely seek, it is not something that is widely encouraged or supported. The mission to reconnect with your deep self and ultimately Source Itself, is invariable precipitated by inner discomfort and a sense of yearning. Much of your life is created by your thoughts and feelings and consciousness, both individual and collective, will dominate your experience.
Soul elects to experience human life for many reasons and upon incarnation into human form a commitment is made to grow and live apart from Source although a part of soul remains where it is. This can be referred to as the higher self or the spiritual self and provides the link to the greater realms. Mostly knowledge of this is occluded by the linear mind, as the developing mind takes over and is gripped by input from the material world. But that part of you is always accessible, something that those who hold awareness and practice being Present, are aware of. You can’t control thought but you can become the observer of it and this by itself leads to inner quietude.
Confronted with a problem the mind and emotions will become very focussed on the issue and if it is a situation that exists outside of your control to fix, there is usually fear or anger. Negative emotions cloud the issue and the first step is to stand back from what the mind is doing and place attention on the heart center. This is where you connect with love, which itself has the solution to every problem. As you withdraw from the addiction to linear thinking so you automatically step into the Presence and in doing so you feel more of yourself. There is a greater sense of calm and aliveness and a feeling of connectedness. Ego (the survival instinct) is in abeyance and, while it is difficult or indeed impossible for most people to remain in this state, you can come back to it at any time.
Your heart always knows what you really want and what is good for you. Ask for what you want, go somewhere quiet and just ask aloud. The whole of you hears your words and the pictures that accompany them are, in a way, stamped into universal Presence which must by its nature, respond. If what you ask for is accompanied by resistance or a feeling that you can’t or shouldn’t have it, there will be blocks to its fulfillment. There is a difference between genuine heartfelt desire and the fantasies of the mind, so there must be a realistic approach.
Pictures are worth a thousand words and in releasing a heartfelt desire, whether it is something you truly want but don’t currently have, or the solution to a problem or upset of some kind, pictures arise from within you and this is your creativity. Having asked, release the picture and the request knowingly into the hands of Source and allow calm to prevail. If it is something that requires action from you, listen to the guidance, question it if need be and listen again, then do what you are required to do. Don’t just dream and do nothing. Ask. Have patience, for many desires require other events to take place of which you have no knowledge. This is the building block of Faith.
Nothing that has life is ever truly separated from Source. That which creates you loves you in a way beyond your imagination. The human mind is conditioned to judge and is in a state of judgement nearly all the time so it is impossible to imagine living with total awareness and no judgement. It is in the heart center that this can be experienced and as the heart arises so thinking abates and awareness expands. Living in the present means living in the Presence and you are never alone.
You are powerful beyond your understanding and loved beyond measure. Your greatest gifts are disguised as your greatest challenges, for those challenges are ultimately challenges to your thinking regardless of what they are.
